Government Camp, Oregon

"The Presence" will be shot on location near Government Camp, located amidst some of the most beautiful land in the United States. Located on the south slope of Mt. Hood, Government Camp is a picturesque alpine village. At an elevation of 4,000 feet and with an average snowfall close to 300 inches, it is the base camp for a wide range of outdoor activities and adventures, including the only year-round skiing and snowboarding in North America.

Government Camp is exactly 20 miles from the Clackamas Ranger's station where The Presence will be filmed.

The cast and crew will be housed in new condos recently built in the village.

The units are fully equipped with linens and dishes, etc. The complex has a heated swimming pool, a hot tub, a large 25 person soaking tub, an outdoor fire pit, and a large lodge, all for the use of the cast and crew.

Just minutes from Government Camp is Timberline Lodge, which has year round skiing, one of the state's best restaurants, and is where Stanley Kubrick filmed the exteriors for The Overlook Hotel in The Shining.
